There are many ways to achieve satisfactory results including shredding, crushing and target practice at your local firing range. The cost of shredding and crushing can be upwards to $20/ drive plus the cost of removal and disposal. Then your concern could be the chain of custody from your facility to the shredder and to ensure that each drive actually made it to the shredder. However, ELS will work with your institution to provide �on-site� hard drive crushing and scrap removal services.
